Dark chocolate is one of the most versatile dessert foods out there. It can combine with a great number of different flavors and produce very different dishes in the process. Here are some great flavor combinations you can get from chocolate that are certainly worth knowing!

Banana

Banana and dark chocolate is a classic combo. The sweetness of the banana perfectly complements the bitterness of the chocolate, and its creamy texture also goes well with the chocolatey flavor. You can use fresh banana slices or mash them into a pulp to combine.

Salted Caramel

Salted caramel gets just the right balance of sweet and salty. This offsets the bitterness of the chocolate, while the rich flavor gives body to it.

Coffee

Coffee always goes great with dark chocolate. You can eat chocolate with your coffee, or add both ingredients into a cake or tart.

Berries

Prepare a bowl of fresh berries such as strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries. Next, take some dark chocolate and break it onto the berries in chunks. Alternatively, you can grate some chocolate onto them along with a dollop of double cream.
