Just when we thought that all the possible flavors of ice cream were already invented, one company came up with something revolutionary. New York-based ice creamery Van Leeuwen revealed a new product made in collaboration with Kraft Macaroni & Cheese. That’s right, they made mac & cheese ice cream. Would you try it?
“We know that there is nothing more refreshing on a hot summer day than ice cream,” Kraft’s Senior Associate Brand Manager Emily Violett said in a press release. “That is why we wanted to combine two of the most iconic comfort foods to create an ice cream with the unforgettable flavor of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese we all grew up with.” She also mentioned that the new ice cream contains high-quality ingredients and no artificial flavors, preservatives, or dyes.
It’s clear that this isn’t a treat for everyone. After all, ice cream is a dessert and not many people can imagine eating a savory version of it. Will other companies follow with different savory flavors soon? Only time will tell.
