You Can Now Buy This Rare (And Expensive) Caviar

Sterling Caviar’s Two Color Caviar is a super-rare type of caviar that used to be available exclusively at Benu restaurant in San Francisco, one of seven restaurants with three Michelin stars in California. The guests of the restaurant can try it as a part of a $325 tasting menu by chef Corey Lee. And now, the steep-priced caviar is available to everyone living in the U.S. who wants to order it.

The Two Color Caviar is famously exclusive as it’s produced in small quantities. The Sterling company is now offering it to people across the country but the price they’ll pay is not small. 30 grams of caviar cost $128, 50 grams cost $260, a 125 gram package is $619, the price tag for 250 grams reads $1,218, $2,417 for 500 grams, and whooping $4,793 for 1,000 grams.

We’re sure nobody would mind a gift this exclusive, but is it really worth it? What do you think, is this a must-try for everyone who can afford it or are there better things to buy for that kind of money?
