Air fryers are incredibly popular because they’re easy to use, they’re healthier than regular fryers, and the food usually comes out delicious. But if you’re not so thrilled with yours, it’s possible that you’re making one of these common mistakes.

Not Enough Space

Air fryers work using airflow so it’s important to give them enough space to work their magic. Make sure there isn’t too much food inside, because even though it’s a small appliance, an air fryer requires a bit more space than you may be providing it.

Too Much Oil

In order to make food in an air fryer, all you need is a teaspoon of oil. Add too much of it, and the results won’t be as good. Think of an air fryer as a mini convection oven that bakes your food and cooking with it will make more sense.

Too Much Food

It’s important not to put too much food in the cooking basket because it probably won’t prepare properly. Make sure there’s room for the hot air to flow through and do its job. An air fryer works fast, so it shouldn’t be a problem to split your food into two or three batches.
