You’re craving some brownies but have no eggs for brownie mix? There is no need to go to the grocery store and pick up some. They are far too expensive these days and you actually don’t need them. Instead, simply use one of these substitutes.

Mayonnaise

Mayonnaise isn’t usually associated with desserts but trust us on this one. Mayo already contains eggs and oil, which are the two main ingredients used for the brownie mix. It will pack brownies with a more robust flavor and keep them moist. Use three tablespoons of mayo to replace one egg.

Greek Yogurt

Greek yogurt is the perfect egg substitute for brownie mix. It will result in a similar consistency while also adding richness, especially if you decide to use a flavored version. Use ¼ cup of Greek yogurt as a substitute for one egg.

Mashed Bananas

Mashed bananas also provide great results as egg substitutes. However, note that the banana flavor can be overpowering, although we don’t see that as a bad thing. Use ¼ cup mashed banana for every egg you intend to add to the brownie mix.

Applesauce

Applesauce will do a similar job to mashed bananas but it won’t affect the taste of brownies that much. You can use ¼ cup applesauce to substitute one egg.

To start off, line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread a bag of kettle-style potato chips across it. You can use regular potato chips for charcuterie chips but kettle-style are sturdier and can withstand more toppings.

Then simply add some type of cheese and other toppings like bacon bits and bake at 350F until the cheese melts. You can later load on more toppings like sour cream, barbecue sauce, caramelized onions, or jalapenos. Basically, you can use whatever you have in your pantry and think would go well with chips.

The “Back to Starbucks” initiative has introduced us to many amazing deals, and their latest offer will make people flock to this coffee chain. Starbucks’ “for here” offer allows dine-in customers to get free refills, and the coffee chain is also bringing back its iconic condiment bar.

Select Starbucks locations in North America brought back the “for here” orders this week, allowing patrons who opt to stick around to enjoy their beverages in mugs, glasses, and other reusable cups brought from home.

This marks the coffee chain’s latest attempt to reduce waste and embrace sustainability, as a part of its initiative to reduce its overall waste by 50% by 2030. Starbucks’ spokesperson described this innovation as “one way we’re returning our cafes to warm welcoming coffeehouses.”

Starbucks visitors who opt for the “for here” order can also enjoy free refills of brewed coffee and tea, either hot or iced. Some of Starbucks’ signature beverages aren’t a part of this offer, including nitro cold brew, regular cold brew, iced tea lemonade, flavored iced teas, and Starbucks Refreshers.

Starbucks also announced the return of the condiment bar, which hasn’t been around since the pandemic. Customers can now add creamer, milk, and sweeteners to their drinks on their own, without asking the barista for help.

A mimosa is a simple cocktail perfect for holiday parties. It is tasty and refreshing and will provide just the right amount of “tipsy” effect without pushing you or your guests over the edge. The basic recipe for mimosa is fairly simple and includes mixing champagne (or some other sparkling wine) with orange juice. However, if you want to enjoy the best holiday mimosa, follow these tips when putting it together.

Use Chilled Ingredients

For the best taste and maximum refreshment, chill both the champagne and orange juice before mixing them.

Champagne Goes First

The order in which you combine champagne and orange juice is more important than you might think. By pouring the champagne first, you will minimize the loss of “fizz” and end up with a perfectly sparkling drink. You should also pour the champagne at an angle for the same purpose.

Use Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice

You might be tempted to use store-bought orange juice, but that will significantly affect the quality of the drink. Instead, opt for freshly squeezed orange juice, which will result in the best flavor.

Avoid Stirring

There is no need to stir the mimosa once you poured the champagne and orange juice. The two will combine by itself and stirring can only make the drink lose its bubbles and taste flat.

Use the Proper Ratio

The proper ratio of mimosa is two-thirds champagne and one-third orange juice. This will ensure your mimosa isn’t too sweet and has plenty of bubbles.

Salads are generally considered one of the healthiest foods on the market, but it all comes down to what ingredients you’re using when making one. Many of the popular salad toppings are actually making your salad unhealthy, and here are five that you should avoid at all costs.

Croutons

Croutons are one of the most popular salad toppings on the market, but they’re best replaced with nuts and seeds if you want to add some crunch to your salad in a healthy way.

Creamy Dressings

Many of the beloved salad dressings such as ranch and Caesar aren’t doing your salad any favors since they’re packed with unhealthy fats, calories, and added sugars.

Fried Foods

Many popular salads contain different variations of fried foods, from bacon bits to crispy chicken strips, but the only thing they’re good at is adding unnecessary fats and calories to your salad.

Dried Fruits

Dried fruits usually aren’t as healthy as they seem since they can contain added sugars. If you want to sweeten your salad naturally, just add some fresh fruits to the mix instead.

Cheese

No matter how much you love cheese, try to keep it away from your salad. High-fat cheeses like cheddar or blue cheese can spike up the fat and calorie count of your salad if you don’t use them in moderation.

We’ve all been there: you store a delicious, sauce-laden meal in your favorite Tupperware, only to find that no amount of scrubbing seems to remove the oily residue afterward. The stubborn grease clings to the plastic, leaving behind stains and odors. Thankfully, a clever TikTok hack has emerged to tackle this common kitchen woe.

No more greasy Tupperware ??

♬ original sound – Makeala Banks

Paper Towel and Dish Soap

This simple yet effective method requires only two common household items: a paper towel and dish soap. Begin by placing a paper towel inside your oily Tupperware container. Next, add a few drops of dish soap to the paper towel. The amount will depend on the size of your container and the extent of the oily residue.

Hot Water, Shake

Next, pour hot water into the container, filling it about halfway. Seal the Tupperware with its lid and give it a good shake for about 45 seconds to a minute.

@mamamiahcooks Does anyone else do this? #kitchenhacks #cleantok #sharing #tips #foryou #cleaning #container #lifehack #didyouknow #howto #foryoupage #viral #tiktokhacks #tupperware #plasticcontainers #learnontiktok #learningisfun #stainremover #fypシ ♬ Summer Love – Sole Sole

The Big Reveal

Remove the lid and discard the paper towel. Give your Tupperware a quick rinse with clean water, and voila! Your container should now be clean and free from oily residue.

Why It Works

This method is effective because the paper towel acts as a grease-absorbing agent while the hot water and soap work together to break down the oils. The shaking motion helps to distribute the cleaning solution evenly and provides the necessary agitation to lift the grease from the plastic surface.

Cooking can be a huge source of joy for so many people, and getting creative with recipes and techniques is a lovely way to relax and unwind. Cooking relies on a lot of equipment, and most people who enjoy being in the kitchen will have their personal set of tools. However, adding a gadget into the mix can take your cooking to the next level. Here are some ideas for kitchen gadgets that can improve your cooking game.

Immersion Blender

There are so many options for super fancy, state-of-the-art blenders these days, but sometimes simple is all you need. Immersion blenders can be bought quite cheap while still being good quality and can be used for a huge range of things, including soups, smoothies, and sauces.

Air Fryer

You may be sick of hearing about air fryers all the time, but they have so much hype for good reasons. You can make delicious ‘fried’ food without using barely any oil, making it a much healthier option. These clever gadgets can also be used for things like pie and pizza slices, so they can save you money on energy bills by avoiding turning the oven on.

Slow Cooker

There’s nothing better than being able to throw some ingredients into a pot and leaving it for a few hours to come back to a delicious dish all ready to go. Slow cookers are perfect for those days when you want a proper home-cooked meal without having to stand in the kitchen for hours and can produce the most tender, succulent meals imaginable.

Paper Towel and Dish Soap

This simple yet effective method requires only two common household items: a paper towel and dish soap. Begin by placing a paper towel inside your oily Tupperware container. Next, add a few drops of dish soap to the paper towel. The amount will depend on the size of your container and the extent of the oily residue.

Hot Water, Shake

Next, pour hot water into the container, filling it about halfway. Seal the Tupperware with its lid and give it a good shake for about 45 seconds to a minute.

This easy caramelized onion dip is guaranteed to become your new party MVP. Packed with rich, caramelized flavor and ready in minutes, it’s the perfect dip for chips, veggies, or even spreading on your favorite sandwich. So ditch the pre-made stuff and let’s get started.

Ingredients:

  • 2 yellow onions, caramelized
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons chives, finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For Caramelizing Onions

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon oil (olive or vegetable)
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Begin by caramelizing the onions. Slice the onions thinly. In a large skillet, heat the butter and oil over low heat. Add the sliced onions and a pinch of salt to help draw out the moisture. Cook the onions slowly, stirring occasionally, for 30-45 minutes.
  2. In the meantime, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise in a mixing bowl. Blend until smooth and creamy. Season the dip with salt and pepper.
