Baked Apples are an Ideal Fall Breakfast

When you were little, you may have preferred store-bought candy over natural treats such as apples. Many adults change their opinion on this over the years as they try new recipes for fruit and learn just how delicious it can be. This fall, treat yourself with baked apples and you’ll have a perfectly sweet breakfast with zero guilt. Read on for a super delicious and very simple recipe!

  1. Mix brown sugar (2 tablespoons), vanilla sugar (3 tablespoons), cinnamon (3 tablespoons), and nutmeg (1 tablespoon). Take six apples, peel and slice them.
  2. Grease your baking dish with butter and preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Layer 1/3 of the apples in the dish, then sprinkle with 1/3 of the sugar mixture. Repeat two more times.
  3. Bake for 30 minutes, then pour 3 tablespoons of water over apples and bake for 15 more minutes.
  4. Enjoy!
