We’re talking about the fruitiest and loveliest cupcakes you can think of—the kinds that’ll really give your year a jumping-off point!
Lavender Brownie
This might sound like an odd combination, but a brownie cupcake base with a light purple lavender buttercream icing is delicious. The chocolate and the lavender pair well, and the sugar in the icing cancels out any soapy flavor associated with lavender.
Strawberry and Berry Meringue
Fresh strawberries blended into a cupcake batter make an incredibly fresh-tasting cake. To add a little extra something, a meringue icing with blueberries and other seasonal fruits makes for a beautiful topping.
Coconut and Vanilla
When Easter rolls around, it’s important to have some kind of festive treat on the party table. A traditional vanilla cupcake with a coconut buttercream can turn a basic cupcake into something magnificent. Toasted coconut can be pressed into the top of the icing, and a small nest will form. In the nest, you can place two or three speckled chocolate eggs for the perfect little bird’s nest.
