This tuna pasta bake is ideal for those wintery days. It’s super comforting, is packed with veg, and is really simple to make.
Ingredients (Serves 4)
- 8 ounces of pasta
- 2 x 5-ounce canned tuna
- 1 x 15-ounce canned sweet corn
- 1 large onion
- 1 large bell pepper
- 3 cups milk
- 2 tablespoons of flour
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cups shredded cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350℉.
- Chop up the onion and pepper and fry in a large pot until softened and browned.
- Put a large pot of salted water to boil. Once bubbling, add the pasta and leave to simmer according to pack instructions.
- Meanwhile, heat the oil and then add the flour. Mix this thoroughly, and then gradually add the milk, stirring constantly.
- Increase the heat and keep stirring until thickened. Add the cheese and mix in.
- Drain the pasta. In a large oven-proof dish, add the pasta and the fried vegetables.
- Open and drain the canned sweet corn and tuna, add this to the dish, and then mix together.
- Add the cheese sauce to the dish and stir to ensure all is well-mixed. Place this into the oven for 30-40 minutes, until the top is browned.
