Sure, chips and dip are a classic and there’s nothing like the saltiness and crunch of tortillas with guacamole, but there are so many other delicious foods you can enjoy with dips. And we’re not just talking about salty things—sweet ones compliment guac as well. We’re not saying to give up chips, but if you’re looking for delicious alternatives, these five foods are super tasty.

Veggies

Veggies give the much-needed crunch without adding too much salt and they’re an excellent low-calorie alternative to chips. Bell peppers, cucumbers, carrots, celery, and broccoli are some of our favorite veggies with guacamole.

Fruits

Fruit is an unusual pairing with guacamole, but don’t knock it until your try it! Pineapple slices, pears, cantaloupe, honeydew, and apples are a nice sweetness and crunch to guac.

Shrimp

Cooked shrimp, like the ones you use to dip in cocktail sauces, are great for dipping in guac.

Crackers and Breadsticks

Cracker and breadsticks with oats and seeds are a great alternative to chips and they’ll add even more flavor.

Pretzels

Pretzels are pretty much chips’ cousin, so of course they would taste great with guacamole.
