However, today is your lucky day, because we’re now going to explain the differences, and especially why mineral water is so important. Mineral water comes from natural springs and contains beneficial minerals, but it can be either sparkling or still. No matter which version you prefer, you can only benefit from including mineral water in your daily diet.

Mineral water comes from many different springs and its mineral contents may vary based on the source. Water can be classified as mineral when it contains no less than 250 parts per million of “total dissolved solids”. It also needs to be sourced from one of the protected underground springs.

Different mineral waters contain unique sets of minerals so you may find that you prefer some kinds over others. The differences in taste are subtle but they certainly exist.

You can drink your mineral water plain or with lemon, but you can also use it for cooking, making coffee and tea, or in any other way you like. As long as it ends up in your body you will benefit from the minerals it contains!
