  • Salt
  • Ground black pepper
  • 1 pound fettuccine
  • 1 pound shrimp
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 cup Parmesan
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 3 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 garlic cloves


  1. Cook the fettuccine according to the instructions on its packaging. Reserve a cup of pasta water when done.
  2. Heat one tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the butter is melted, add shrimp and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side.
  3. Pour the rest of the butter and garlic into the pan and warm for 1 minute. Whisk in the flour, heavy cream, milk, and egg yolk. Finally, add the cheese and cook until it is melted. Add pasta water if the sauce is too thick.
  4. Garnish with parmesan and parsley and enjoy.
