Learn How To Make Tasty Salmon Cakes

Do you know what sounds even better than plain salmon? Salmon cakes! This is a very basic recipe that even people who don’t like cooking at all can prepare. Check out the ingredients and method below.

Ingredients

For the salmon cakes, the list of ingredients includes:
2 6-oz cans salmon
2 tablespoons butter
2 eggs
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon old bay seasoning
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 lemon juiced and zested
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill

You can also use 2 to 3 cups of leftover salmon.

Instructions

Cook the onion in a pan with butter for 3 to 4 minutes. Combine the 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, eggs, salmon, old bay seasoning, parsley, dill, and lemon in a bowl. After the onions have cooled down, you can add them to the mix as well.

Leave the future salmon cakes in the fridge for 15 minutes. Take the mixture out and start forming the patties.

Get a small plate and pour 1/2 cup of the breadcrumbs. Dip every cake in the breadcrumbs, then place them again in the fridge for up to one hour.

Cook them with the olive oil on medium heat.

Serve them with salad on the side, sour cream, tartar sauce, or your favorite topping.
