Mad For Mint!

Mint is one of the best herbs to plant and to eat for so many reasons. If you plant it in your garden, it is easy to tend to and it sprouts everywhere. For cooking, it can be used in both sweet and savory dishes, as a garnish or as the star. Check out these fun recipes with lovely mint.

Pesto

Pesto simply means paste in Italian, and while normally that involves basil, it doesn’t always have to be the case! You can make a bright, slightly sweet pesto with mint, fava beans, garlic, and oil. It goes great on a simple crostini or use it as an accompaniment to fish!

Israeli Salad

Israeli salad is a chopped salad made with tomatoes, cucumbers, lemon juice, and red onions. A great way to introduce a new flavor and a bright feature is to add mint! It goes so well with all the flavors already, and it will help with digestion as you eat.

Lemonade

There is no better drink on a hot day than lemonade. But, with all the sugar, sometimes it can still not hit the spot. Infuse your simple syrup with mint and make a mint lemonade instead! This will also contribute to the sweetness, but add a refreshing note as well.
