Make Better Mocktails This Holiday Season

If you’re hosting a holiday party, in addition to cocktails, you should always have at least one mocktail. If you’re new to making mocktails, here are some tips so your guests who don’t drink won’t feel left out.

Non-Alcoholic Spirit

To get a similar taste to a cocktail without the alcohol, try using non-alcoholic spirits like Seedlip, Gnista, Spiritless Kentucky 74, or Ronsin.

Shrub

These vinegar-based fruit syrups are sweet and tangy. You can make your own with cranberries or you can use a premade one with ginger and blood oranges.

Garnishes

Garnishes are an essential part to any cocktail, so they should also be taken into consideration for mocktails. Garnish the drink with cherries, fruit skewered on cocktail picks, or dehydrated citrus wheels.

Syrups

Syrups are super simple to make at home and all you need are seasonal fruits and veggies. You can also buy premade ones with lemon and basil or spiced honey.

Glassware

Enjoying food is about more than just the taste—it is all in the presentation. When making a mocktail, put as much care in it as you would for a cocktail, which includes using the same glassware you would for the same alcoholic drink.
