Have you ever tried honey mustard sauce before? This dip combines the tanginess of mustard and the sweetness of honey to make a concoction that works great as a dip and as a spread on sandwiches as well.

You can often find this sauce at the store, but let’s be honest: homemade always tastes better! Here is a recipe that you can make and enjoy at home.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup yellow mustard
  • ¼ cup Dijon mustard
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

Begin by placing the yellow and Dijon mustard into a medium glass bowl. Then, take a spoon and mix the two different mustard varieties thoroughly. Next, add the honey and repeat the stirring process. Continue to stir until your mix has reached a uniform consistency.

After this, add the lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, and black pepper and stir once again, ensuring that all of the ingredients are evenly blended.

Taste It

Taste the mixture and ensure that it meets your expectations. If it’s too sweet, you can add extra vinegar or mustard, and if it isn’t sweet enough, add more honey to taste.

Place in a glass jar or plastic container with an airtight lid, refrigerate, and use within two weeks. Enjoy!
