Olive tapenade is something that people think of as a very fancy dish. In fact, although it does have French origins which normally means complicated, olive tapenade is one of the easiest dishes to make. It only has four ingredients and once you make it there are a million ways to use it!

Ingredients

The main ingredient for the tapenade is 7 oz of olives, but beyond that, you will need 9 small capers, 1 garlic clove, and 1-2 tablespoosn of olive oil.

Instructions

  1. Put all the ingredients into a food processor and start blending.
  2. After a few seconds, scrape down the sides so everything gets processed.
  3. Once it is smooth, transfer it to a bowl or an airtight container and you’re done!

Ways To Use Tapenade

The most classic way to serve tapenade is just in a bowl with some pieces of bread. But, if you want to use it beyond that, you can really put it on anything! Mix it into mayo to make for a spread that really pops, or use it in homemade pizzas for that salty, juicy bite. You can also mix into pasta or even pasta sauce as a salty briny element instead of plain old salt.
