Steak leftovers can be tricky. On the one hand, you don’t want to let that delicious meat go to waste. On the other hand, how can you reheat a steak without it tasting dry and bland? You might be happy to hear that reheating a steak properly is possible, it just takes the right technique. Here are a few ways to make your steak from last night taste just as juicy and delicious the following day.

Step 1: Reheating In The Oven

A good way to prevent your steak from drying out is to slowly reheat it in the oven first, and then finish on the stovetop. Preheat your oven to 275° and place your steak over a wire cooling rack. This will allow the hot air to circulate around the steak better and will result in a more evenly heated steak. Leave your steak in the oven until the internal temperature reaches 110°. It may take about 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the steak’s thickness.

Step 2: Reheating on the Stovetop

Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Grill your over-heated steak and sear for about one minute on each side. And there you have it!
