With the Super Bowl right around the corner, you’ll no doubt want to host a gameday party for your friends and family to remember. Of course, serving the right kind of food will go a long way to achieving this goal. Here’s how to make tailgate tots; an appetizer that will be sure to get your Super Bowl party off to a great start.
Ingredients
- 32-ounce bag of tater tots
- 8 slices bacon
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup chopped chives
- 1 container sour cream
- 1 2/3 cup sharp cheddar
Instructions
- Het up your grill to medium and spread out the tater tots across two disposable pie plates. Grill them for about 20 minutes, stirring regularly.
- As you wait for your tater tots to cook, place the bacon in a pan and fry it over medium heat.
- Once the tater tots and bacon are underway, it’s time to make the cheese sauce. Put butter into a deep pan and cook over a medium heat.
- Place flour into the pan and stir, gradually adding milk so as to create a thin sauce. Then, stir in the cheddar and chili powder, continuing to stir everything.
- Throw the tater tots into small jars, topping them off with cheese sauce, bacon, sour cream, and chives.
