Taking Crepe Fillings to a Whole New Level

Anyone who has tried crepes knows how delicious these paper-thin French pancakes are. One of the things that makes crepes unique is the ability to make them savory or sweet depending on the filling. When it comes to the sweet side, most people like to go with a traditional icing sugar or lemon drizzle. As for the savory, a simple mushroom and cheese filling will do. But there are so many unique fillings that can be tried for a special meal, and here they are!

Peaches and Cream

Depending on the season, peaches and cream can be one of the most delicious sweet fillings out there. You will want to carefully slice the peaches and then layer them with a vanilla bean cream filling. This will make anyone with a sweet tooth drool.

Spinach and Meat

Chopped spinach with sauteed mushrooms and your choice of cooked chicken or steak makes for a lovely savory filling. If you want to add a little something extra, consider a dollop of freshly made pesto on the inside of the crepe.

Mascarpone Cheese with Coffee

Mascarpone cheese is used in many desserts, like tiramisu and cannoli. Thus, it makes sense that mascarpone would be delicious inside a sweet crepe. Add some espresso coffee grounds for a tiramisu type crepe. Coffee drinkers will adore this one.
