The Best Recipe for a Winter Slaw

Ingredients (to serve 6 people):

  • 1 red cabbage
  • 1 carrot
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 cup of kale
  • 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Bash the kale with a rolling pin so that the stalks are softened. Shred the kale finely.
  2. Grate the cabbage, carrot, and garlic and add to a large salad bowl. Add the kale.
  3. Mix the lemon juice, salt, and pepper into the mayonnaise. Use this to dress the slaw.
