These Chocolate Truffles are so Easy to Make

Whether you’re giving them as a gift, or looking to treat yourself, chocolate truffles are always gratefully received. This vegan recipe is quick, simple, and utterly indulgent—if you are making them as gifts, remember to make a few extra for yourself!

Ingredients (for 20 cookies)

  • 1 1/2 cups of dark chocolate
  • 1/2 cup of coconut oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla essence
  • 2 teaspoons of maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped mixed nuts
  • Icing sugar, to decorate

Instructions

  1. Melt the chocolate in a microwave or using the Bain Marie method.
  2. Melt the coconut oil in a pan and stir this into the melted chocolate.
  3. Stir in the maple syrup, vanilla essence and nuts.
  4. Let the mix cool a little before shaping into balls. Place these on greaseproof paper and let them set in the fridge for 2 hours.
  5. 5. Dust with icing sugar before wrapping them up and gifting.
