The Cassava Flour is the new baking alternative. For people who have gluten intolerances or any other sensitivities, Cassava flour is gluten-free, grain-free, nut-free, as well as vegan, vegetarian and paleo.

Cassava comes from the plant called Yucca and can be seen as a synonym for Tapioca. However, it is not exactly like Tapioca. They are made from the same plant but different parts of it. Cassava is mainly starch. It is usually used in recipes without being detected at all. It has a neutral taste and replaces the texture of gluten perfectly.

Cassava flour is also believed to be easily digested since it’s less concentrated in pure starch and is low in fat, sugar and calories.

Now, wouldn’t you try to bake pancakes with Cassava flour this weekend?
