- 1 cup of self raising flour
- 1/2 cup of vegetable suet
- 1 sprig of fresh tarragon
- A small handful of fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon of sunflower oil
- 3 tablespoons of cold water
Instructions:
- Finely chop the fresh herbs.
- Mix the flour and suet with the cold water to create a rough dough.
- Add the sunflower oil and the herbs, mix with your hands to ensure everything is well combined.
- Roll out onto a floured surface and shape the dumplings.
- Cook them in soup, broth, stew, or any other liquid for 20 – 30 minutes, to ensure they are cooked through.
