Chicken Tenders:

  • 1 pound of chicken tenders
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of cornflakes, crushed
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons garlic pepper seasoning
  • Zest of 1 lemon

Sticky Lemon Pepper Sauce:

  • 1 clove of garlic, finely chopped
  • Juice of 3 lemons
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoon cornstarch

  1. Season the chicken with smoked paprika and salt.
  2. Dip each chicken tender first into the beaten eggs, then coat thoroughly with the cornflake mixture.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat with enough oil to fry the tenders. Cook the chicken until golden and crispy (3-4 minutes per side).
  4. For the sauce, combine lemon juice, lemon zest, maple syrup, and light soy sauce in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the chopped garlic. Bring to a simmer and then whisk in the cornstarch. Cook until the sauce thickens.
  5. Toss the chicken tenders in the sauce.
  6. Serve your hot, and enjoy.
