These Throwback Treats Will Remind You Of Your Childhood

Do you ever think back to your childhood and those treats you used look forward to in your lunchbox or in line at the cafeteria? Well, now you don’t just have to think about those nostalgic snacks, you can make them yourself at home! Most of your favorite snacks are actually really simple to make so let’s go back to a simpler time with these recipes.

Fruit Leather

While you  can make a fruit puree from scratch for this recipe, you can also opt for a simpler version by using applesauce! Spread it thinly on a parchment lined cookie sheet, and bake at a low temperature (140°F)to slowly dry out your puree in oven. This process can take anywhere between We usually keep it in the oven overnight, 8-12 hours. Your fruit leather is ready when it’s no longer sticky and has a smooth surface.

Dunkaroos

For this sweet treat,you only need three ingredients! Just mix together cake mix, cool whip, and yogurt in a bowl. Add in some sprinkles and serve with graham crackers or whatever kind of cookie you want.

Pizza Bagels

These were the ultimate food to have for lunch or even after school. All you need are bagels, either regular or mini, marinara sauce, and cheese. Assemble the pizzas, put them in the toaster oven until the cheese has melted and dig in!
