This Sushi Bake is a Twist on Traditional Sushi

When you think of sushi, you might think of it in its traditional form. Sticky rice, seaweed, and fish. Well, this recipe is just that, but with a twist! Instead of served cold, the dish is served hot and in a baking dish. Keep reading for a simple, cost effective, and quick recipe, and enjoy it on its own, or with a side of miso soup.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked white rice (You can use sushi rice if you have it)
  • 1 tbsp Rice Vinegar
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • One piece of cooked salmon
  • 1 Package of imitation crab
  • 1/4 cup Japanese Mayo
  • 1 tbsp Siracha
  • Optional: Nori sheets, Furikake for taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 380 degrees
  • Cook your rice. Once cooked, add it the rice vinegar to make it sticky
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the imitation crab and salmon and add the cream cheese, mayo, and siracha
  • Add your rice to a medium baking dish and flatten it out
  • Add the fish mixture on top of the rice
  • Remove from the oven and drizzle some more mayo and siracha on top
  • Serve with seaweed and enjoy!
