Three Meals You Should Always Have In Your Freezer

Between working, maintaining a home and social life, cooking can often fall to the back of our minds. An easy way to plan for those times where you’re too exhausted to prepare a meal is to keep already cooked meals and sauces in your freezer. By making these in advance, you’ll have meals to keep you healthy, full, and balanced.

Tomato Sauce

When they’re in season, using real tomatoes in a sauce not only brings out their natural sweetness but also provides both vitamins C and A. Make a simple tomato sauce, put it in a freezer-safe bag and it’s there when you need it. This sauce is perfect for flatbreads or pasta.

Soup

Soups that are blended are especially good to keep in the freezer because they freeze evenly and flat. You can essentially throw any vegetable into stock or water, blend and voila you have a soup! Try great combinations like zucchini, carrot and ginger.

Taco Packs

Surprisingly, many components of a taco bar are easily freezable! Cooked ground meat, shredded cheese, and flour tortillas can all be thrown in freezer-friendly bags and kept for up to three months. Just add whatever fix-ins you have laying around and you have an amazing meal.
