If you’ve decided to try out a vegan lifestyle, congratulations! This is a big and laudable decision. That being said, it’s not always easy to navigate the different foods you can and cannot have. To help you have as successful a transition as possible, here are some tips.

You Can Eat All the Same Things

Okay, not literally. But just because you’re vegan doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy your favorite dishes. No matter what it is you loved from your pre-vegan days: pizza, grilled cheese, fettuccine alfredo, whatever, there’s a way to make a vegan version. Seriously, just google pretty much any food and the word “vegan” and you’ll find plenty of recipes.

You Can Eat at the Same Places

Nearly everywhere you go to eat, from fast food places to other restaurants, have options that are completely plant-based. In fact, thanks to people like you who are joining the vegan movement, options like veggie burgers are becoming increasingly common. Again, Google will be your friend in helping you find the vegan-friendly options.

Take Your Vitamins

There are a few micronutrients that are harder to get on a vegan diet, like vitamin B12 and vitamin D. But supplementing is super easy. Doing it from the beginning will allow you to stick to veganism in the long term and feel amazing.
