2 Chocolatey Dessert Recipes You Won’t Be Able to Resist

Chocolate Pots

Ingredients (to serve 4)

  • 1 cup of dark chocolate pieces
  • 1/2 cup of milk chocolate pieces
  • 2 tablespoons of Amaretto
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 2 eggwhites
  • 3 tablespoons of caster sugar

Instructions

  1. Heat the chocolate in a pan until it is liquid and smooth in consistency.
  2. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the cream, sugar and Amaretto.
  3. Whisk the eggs until they form stiff white peaks, then fold this into the chocolate mix.
  4. Decant into four pots and place in the fridge for at least two hours, until the pots have set.

Chocolate Tart

Ingredients (to serve 8)

  • 1 sheet of ready-made shortcrust pastry
  • 2 cups of dark chocolate
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons of plain flour
  • 1/2 cup of caster sugar

Instructions

  1. Heat the chocolate until it melts entirely, then gradually stir in the cream.
  2. Add the flour and sugar to the mix and stir through until both have been combined.
  3. Let the mix cool. Shape the pastry into a greased and lined tart tin, then pour the mix into the center.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes, and leave to cool for half an hour before serving.
