Chocolate Pots
Ingredients (to serve 4)
- 1 cup of dark chocolate pieces
- 1/2 cup of milk chocolate pieces
- 2 tablespoons of Amaretto
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 2 eggwhites
- 3 tablespoons of caster sugar
Instructions
- Heat the chocolate in a pan until it is liquid and smooth in consistency.
- Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the cream, sugar and Amaretto.
- Whisk the eggs until they form stiff white peaks, then fold this into the chocolate mix.
- Decant into four pots and place in the fridge for at least two hours, until the pots have set.
Chocolate Tart
Ingredients (to serve 8)
- 1 sheet of ready-made shortcrust pastry
- 2 cups of dark chocolate
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons of plain flour
- 1/2 cup of caster sugar
Instructions
- Heat the chocolate until it melts entirely, then gradually stir in the cream.
- Add the flour and sugar to the mix and stir through until both have been combined.
- Let the mix cool. Shape the pastry into a greased and lined tart tin, then pour the mix into the center.
- Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes, and leave to cool for half an hour before serving.
