Ingredients:
- 2 cups of milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1 pinch black pepper
- 2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 black tea bag (optional)
Instructions:
- In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it is warm but not boiling.
- Whisk in the ground turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and black pepper until well combined.
- Add the honey or maple syrup and vanilla extract to the milk mixture. Continue to whisk until everything is fully incorporated and the mixture is hot.
- If you prefer a stronger chai flavor, add the black tea bag to the saucepan. Let it steep for 3-5 minutes, then remove the tea bag.
- For a frothy texture, you can use an immersion blender directly in the saucepan or transfer the mixture to a regular blender and blend for 20-30 seconds. Pour the turmeric chai latte into mugs and enjoy it hot. You can also sprinkle a little extra cinnamon on top for garnish.
