You Have to Try The Kahlua Banana Bread

Kahlua banana bread is so much better than just regular banana bread. This recipe takes around 1 hour and 10 minutes in total. You will get around 12 slices from the bead.

Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup softened unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup shredded sweetened coconut
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup Kahlua coffee liqueur
  • 3 very ripe bananas, 1 1/2 cups smashed
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  • Set the oven to 350 F degrees and prepare a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  • Mix the butter with the granulated sugar. Get an electric mixer and beat to get a fluffy mixture.
  • In the same bowl combine the eggs and bananas. Beat these two ingredients together using low speed.
  • Start adding the flour slowly, next include the baking powder, salt, and baking soda. Finally, add the shredded coconut.
  • You can now transfer the batter in the loaf pan. Let it bake for 45 to 60 minutes. Check the bread with a skewer to know when it’s done. Let it cool down for 10 minutes.
  • While you’re waiting, mix the Kahlua and powdered sugar together. Add holes with the skewer to the top part of the bread and pour the glaze all over. Your Kahlua banana bread is done.
