When it comes to appetizers, nothing says “welcome” quite like warm, melted cheese paired with the comforting goodness of bread. The Cheesy Mozzarella Bread, with its gooey center and crispy edges, takes this concept to a whole new level. Here’s how to make this crowd-pleasing appetizer.

Ingredients:

  • 1 large loaf of your favorite bread (sourdough or Italian works great)
  • Round mozzarella cheese,
  • Marinara sauce
  • Olive oil or butter for grilling
  • Optional: Garlic powder, Italian herbs, and red pepper flakes for seasoning

Instructions:

  1. Cut out the center of the bread to create a hole for your fillings. Slice the sides of the loaf to easily tear off pieces of bread once you’re ready to serve.
  2. Place a round piece of mozzarella cheese into the center of the bread. Pour in the marinara sauce around the mozzarella.
  3. For an extra layer of flavor, lightly brush the top of each bread slice with olive oil or melted butter. Sprinkle a little garlic powder, Italian herbs, and red pepper flakes over the bread for a spicy, garlicky kick.
  4. Place the bread in a preheated oven for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted to perfection.
  5. Transfer the cheesy mozzarella bread to a serving platter and dig in.
