TikTok user @lucykalice recently shared a video in which she demonstrates how she cleans her kettle when it gets covered in limescale. The video quickly went viral, amassing 1.3 million views in less than a week, as the social media users were baffled at how effective her technique was.
The clip shows @lucykalice simply pouring some store-bought lemon juice (you can use the regular one) into the kettle and adding some water. She then brings the lemon juice to a boil before leaving it to rest for 30 minutes.
After half an hour, the TikToker rinsed the kettle and revealed it was spotless. All the limescale was out, and the appliance looked like new from the inside.
