Here’s How to Make Your Guacamole Even Better!

Do you love guacamole? While you may think you’ve nailed the perfect gauc, the are ways to make it even better. Say goodbye to greenish-gray gauc that’s seasoned with the fruit-shaped bottles of lime juice, and hello to fresh quac. Here are some tips for nailing guacamole.

Choose the Best Avocados

If you’re avocados aren’t ripe enough, they won’t have the right taste or texture and if they’re too ripe, the flavor can take over the whole guacamole. Look for avocados with dark green skin and give them a squeeze before buying them.

Avocado First, Then Veggies

Before adding your diced ingredients, mash you avocado to your desired consistency. Then add red onion, jalapeño, tomatoes, onions, garlic, cilantro, and lightly stir.

Right Onion

While traditional guacamole uses sweet white onion, red onions will give your guac a more oniony bite and yellow onions are best with sweeter guacs.

Fresh Lime Juice

A small quirt of lime goes a long way in guac and it slows down the browning of it. Make sure you use fresh limes and before using them, roll them on the counter to get the most out of them.

Switch Up the Ingredients

Start with the basic ingredients like avocados, tomatoes, onions, garlic, cilantro, salt, lime, and jalapeno and then try adding pineapple, mango, orange, or pomegranate seeds for a fruity option.
