It’s Probably Best to Avoid Nuts With Your Desserts

When it comes to the best tips for culinary success—and even more appropriately, the satisfaction of your guests—sometimes less is more. There are many cases in which this is true, but right now we want to talk about a scenario that pops up quite a bit: adding nuts to desserts. When you’re a master baker or chef and want to show off your skills, it can be tempting to add some nuts to show what you can do—but do yourself a favor and just don’t do it.

Nuts Are Controversial

Unless you have a burning desire in your soul to add nuts to this dish, which without it you truly feel like the dish wouldn’t shine, then just don’t add nuts. Because if you don’t feel passionately about adding these nuts, we can assure you that someone else is passionate about it, but on the opposite end of the spectrum. Some people literally hate nuts, and can’t stand when they show up uninvited inside desserts.

Some Are Allergic

Not only do many people hate nuts, but many people are allergic as well. It can be hard to track down many people and find out who’s allergic to what, so perhaps the best solution is to just not add them at all. If you’re confident enough in your skills, you should be confident that your dish will taste delicious without those nuts.
