Coffee is one of the mysterious drinks that most people in the world consume, yet so many don’t really understand how it works. There’s so much going on under the hood of coffee, and this can be viewed in both a positive and negative light as well. Indeed, coffee breweries are lauded in modern society, and for good reason, but that doesn’t mean you should be ashamed if you feel like you need to avoid coffee.

It Can Take a Mental Toll

Coffee can take a major toll on your mental health if you drink too much of it—and for some people, even if taken in moderation. Many people say that it makes them paranoid, gives them jitters, and even makes them anxious and worried. If that’s the case with you, there’s nothing wrong with simply not drinking it. It might not seem as “hip”, but you have nothing to prove to anyone.

Caffeine Is a Drug

There’s no secret that caffeine is a drug, and some people believe that we should treat it as such. Sure, it’s not viewed the same way publicly as many other drugs are, but that doesn’t change the fact that it can create a handful of the same symptoms. From addictiveness to restlessness, caffeine doesn’t agree with everyone—and if that sounds familiar to you, maybe you should consider taking a small break from it.
