By now, we all know how bad sugar is for our health, but that doesn’t mean we don’t crave something sweet every now and then. If you want to keep your diet sugar-free but would still like to enjoy a delicious treat occasionally, here’s how to make tasty energy bombs that are vegan-friendly and use natural and healthy ingredients.
Ingredients
- Pitted dates, 5 1/2 oz
- Cashew nuts, 5 1/2 oz
- Raisins, 4 oz
- Cocoa powder, 2 tbsp
- Orange extract, 1/2 teaspoons
- Boiling water, 4 tbsp
For decoration
- Cocoa powder
- Chocolate sprinkles
- Desiccated coconuts
Instructions
- Cut dates into pieces and put them in a food processor.
- Add cashew nuts, raisins, orange extract, cocoa powder, and boiling water and blend everything together.
- Transfer the mixture into a clean dish and start making balls with hands. The amount is enough for 15-20 balls.
- Take each ball and roll it in cocoa powder, chocolate sprinkles, or coconut.
- Place them on a plate and put it in the fridge before serving, ideally for one hour or more.
