Make These Easy, Healthy, Sugar-Free Chocolate Energy Bombs

By now, we all know how bad sugar is for our health, but that doesn’t mean we don’t crave something sweet every now and then. If you want to keep your diet sugar-free but would still like to enjoy a delicious treat occasionally, here’s how to make tasty energy bombs that are vegan-friendly and use natural and healthy ingredients.

Ingredients

  • Pitted dates, 5 1/2 oz
  • Cashew nuts, 5 1/2 oz
  • Raisins, 4 oz
  • Cocoa powder, 2 tbsp
  • Orange extract, 1/2 teaspoons
  • Boiling water, 4 tbsp

For decoration

  • Cocoa powder
  • Chocolate sprinkles
  • Desiccated coconuts

Instructions

  1. Cut dates into pieces and put them in a food processor.
  2. Add cashew nuts, raisins, orange extract, cocoa powder, and boiling water and blend everything together.
  3. Transfer the mixture into a clean dish and start making balls with hands. The amount is enough for 15-20 balls.
  4. Take each ball and roll it in cocoa powder, chocolate sprinkles, or coconut.
  5. Place them on a plate and put it in the fridge before serving, ideally for one hour or more.
