Although this divine dish does not have a good reputation for being healthy, there are ways to make this dish a little more guilt-free. Peas

Adding frozen peas to mac and cheese is a great way to get your vegetables in while not compromising on the taste! Peas add a great pop of color, and they are small enough that if you are making shells they will just fit on in there.

Roasted Broccoli

Broccoli can have a bad rap, but it is actually so delicious in mac and cheese! If you are putting the mac in the oven anyway, why not add a few small florets while you’re at it.
