Pantry Essentials For Impromptu Hosting

Whether you have a roommate who always has friends over or you’re just someone who loves to host, you never know when you’ll need to do some last minute hosting. However, just because you didn’t have time to plan it doesn’t mean you can’t still throw something nice together. Here are some basics you can keep in your pantry for a last minute get-together.

Wine

Red wine doesn’t need to be refrigerated so that’s a great drink to be able to offer people. If you have the room in your fridge, keep a few nice beers or bottle of white wine.

Pretzels

An unopened bag of pretzels can last a while, so keep them in there and just pour them into a bowl before everyone arrives, or even after they have.

Olives

Olives are pretty inexpensive and are a fun and different kind of snack to put out on the table. They can also be used as a garnish for martinis and other cocktails, so it’s good to keep a jar or can on hand.

Produce

Amid all the alcohol and snacks, it’s important to put even a small plater of fruits or vegetables out. It doesn’t have to be fancy, but it will make people feel a little healthier.
