Starbucks Frappuccinos are Less Healthy Than You Think

When it comes to the way so many of us live our daily lives, coffee is at the forefront of it. Additionally, it’s common for Starbucks lovers to take things a step further and opt for a sweeter Frappuccino—which is like an iced blended coffee drink. It can be easy to buy them consistently, believing that it’s not so different than having a coffee. But here’s why it’s a lot less healthy than you think.

Excess Sugar

The fact of the matter is that Frappuccinos are loaded with excessive amounts of sugar and calories. You may argue that regular coffee drinkers add sugar to their own hot coffee as well, but the difference is that they’re well aware of how much they’re adding as they’re doing. With the Frappuccinos, sugar is added behind the scenes, so it’s easy to look the other way and drink it with ignorant bliss.

The Sizes

Another thing to take note of is the sheer size of the Frappuccino cups. Even the smallest option is relatively big, and let’s be real—who’s really buying the smallest option? These delights are desserts in a cup, and it’s always tempting to get either a medium or a large. There’s nothing wrong with buying them—but just be aware of the sugar you’re consuming as you do so!
