A juicer is a great appliance to have in your kitchen. It allows you to get a healthy and refreshing drink in a matter of minutes. However, the only downside is that you need to clean it properly in order to ensure its longevity and proper function.

The easiest way to clean your juicer is to take it apart and pop the washable components in the dishwasher. But in case you don’t have a dishwasher or you don’t want it to get damaged, follow this easy step-by-step guide.

Take it Apart

First, unplug the juicer and carefully take apart all the components. This includes a juice bowl, strainers, pulp outlet, and pusher.

Soak in Soapy Water

Make a soapy bath for the washable juicer components by mixing several drops of dish liquid in warm water. Submerge the components and let them sit between five and 10 minutes so the leftover particles are easier to clean.

Scrub, Brush, and Wash

Gently scrub the components with a cleaning sponge while using a clean toothbrush or another small brush to get the small particles out from hard-to-reach corners. Then wash under running water.

Wipe the Juicer Base

Don’t forget the juicer base. Use a dampened cloth or a towel to wipe it clean.

Dry and Reassemble

You can leave the juicer components to dry or dry them yourself using paper towels. Then reassemble the juicer, and it’s ready for your next use.
