This Breakfast Strata is Crazy Delicious

We’re always trying to find ways to make breakfast more interesting. Sometimes we crave alternatives to the same old cereal, oatmeal, eggs, or toast. Breakfast stratas are the perfect way to spice up your morning. Breakfast stratas usually consist of layers of milk, eggs, cheese, bread, and whatever topping you usually put in eggs – but this one is a slightly different variation on the typical strata.

Ingredients:

  • 8 eggs
  • 2 cups cubed cooked potatoes
  • 1 lb sliced bacon, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 8-10 slices cubed white bread
  • 1 chopped small onion
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups cooked chopped ham
  • 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions:

  1. Get a skillet and start cooking the bacon.
  2. When it’s done, take it away from the pan and transfer it to a plate.
  3. Continue by cooking the onion and ham together. When the onion becomes soft you can remove the grease from the skillet.
  4. Mix the ham, bacon, and onion together in a bowl.
  5. Top the cheese off with the bacon and ham mixture.
  6. Next, repeat another layer of bread cubes, then potatoes, and again cheese.
  7. Beat the eggs, then combine them with mustard, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, milk, and salt.
  8. Add the eggs all over the ingredients in the dish.
  9. Place the dish overnight in the fridge. Keep it on room temperature 30 minutes before baking.
  10. Cook for 65 to 70 minutes at 325 F degrees without a cover. Your breakfast strata is done!
