This Frozen Yogurt Recipe Will Put Your Dessert Game Over The Top

Frozen yogurt is a delicious and healthier substitute ice-cream. So next time you crave ice-cream opt for a froyo which is just as sweet, flavorful, and refreshing. Even though you can basically find a frozen yogurt shop just about anywhere, making it at home is super easy and requires no fancy machines. Home made froyo is also the best way to control what goes into your dessert, making is super easy to personalize it to your taste and dietary needs. This recipe makes the perfect base which can be eaten on it’s own or turned into a a ton of other delicious flavors and versions.

Base

We recommend full fat or non-fat plain Greek yogurt with no added flavors (Greek yogurt is simply strained yogurt). Use 2 tablespoons of sweetener (honey or agave nectar) for every 1/4 cup of Greek yogurt. Once you have that, you can start making frozen yogurt right away! You can also use non-dairy yogurt if you are vegan or lactose intolerant.

Strawberry

Add 2 cups of frozen strawberries and 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice to the base and blend it in a food processor or blender.

Mango and Lime

By using 2 cups of frozen mango, 1 tablespoon of lime juice and the zest of 1 lime you will create a tropical dessert everyone will love.
