As you probably know, chicken is not always the most interesting meat that is used for cooking. Instead of more nuanced options such as pork or beef, chicken can easily end up bland is you aren’t careful about marinating and seasoning it in an interesting way.

You can throw that fear out of the window, however, when you try this soy garlic marinade! You’ll be craving chicken all the time after you prepare a batch using this method. Here’s the recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken
  • 4 ounces soy sauce
  • 1.5 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1 ounce lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce

Instructions

  • Start off by placing your chicken (you can use wings, drumsticks, breasts, or any other option) inside of a container. Then, you’ll want to gradually add all of these ingredients into the container along with the chicken.
  • Be sure to add the liquid ingredients first!
  • Season the chicken with the garlic powder and black pepper, and then mix to coat evenly.
  • Place the chicken inside of your refrigerator for 4-6 hours and allow the marinade to do its job. Be careful not to leave it too long, as this can make the soy sauce’s flavor overwhelming.
  • Prepare as desired, and enjoy!
