This Quick Cheesy Potato Recipe is a Taste Bud Delight

If you’re tired of your current arsenal of tried-and-true food hacks, here’s a new one you really need to learn about, especially if you have a soft spot for tater tots. And cheese. And all things fried. Plus, it’s so quick that you’ll finish frying these delicious cheesy potatoes before you’re done saying “I can’t believe how yummy this looks.”

Now, let’s move on to the actual recipe, shall we?

To make @jasmineandtea’s legendary dish, you’ll need very few ingredients: 1 potato, some cornstarch, sugar, yellow cheese, and frying oil. Odds are you won’t even have to leave the house to get them.

The Process

Peel your potato and slice it into pieces, then let it cook in boiling water until soft, and mash it in a bowl. Next, add cornstarch and (optional) sugar, stir thoroughly, and curl the mixture into palm-sized balls. Now, flatten each ball, put a generous amount of yellow cheese inside, seal, and shape it back into doughnut form. Finally, fry to golden-brown perfection, and you’re all done!

You can follow Jasmine and Tea’s lead and scatter some minced green onion on top for decoration, but it’s not a must.
