Ingredients
- 1 pound of minced beef
- 1 onion
- 2 carrots
- 2 celery stalks
- 6 cloves garlic
- 1 tin of chopped tomatoes
- 1 cup of red wine
- 1 cup beef or vegetable broth
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt
- Black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound of spaghetti
- Grated Parmesan for topping
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add your chopped onion, carrots, and celery. Sauté until soft.
- Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
