Try This Delicious Milkshake Recipe for an Indulgent Treat

Milkshakes are one of the most popular sweet treats. Like a cross between a smoothie and ice cream, the thick creamy drink is super satisfying, especially on a warm day. This recipe is quite indulgent but is delicious so it’s perfect for when you’re after a tasty treat. Having the fruit in there is a great source of vitamins! You can use whichever milk you prefer and can use a different flavor of ice cream if you want to play around with taste combinations.

Ingredients

(Serves 2)

  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Chop the stalks off the strawberries and then cut each strawberry in half
  2. Put the strawberries into a blender
  3. Peel the banana then chop it into slices and add to the blender 
  4. Add the milk and then switch the blender on, blitzing the mixture until it’s smooth
  5. Add the peanut butter and blend for another few minutes
  6. Add the ice cream and continue to blend intermittently for another 5 minutes 
  7. Once the mixture is completely smooth, transfer it to 2 glasses
  8. You may wish to add some ice cubes and some reusable straws, and then enjoy!
