Milkshakes are one of the most popular sweet treats. Like a cross between a smoothie and ice cream, the thick creamy drink is super satisfying, especially on a warm day. This recipe is quite indulgent but is delicious so it’s perfect for when you’re after a tasty treat. Having the fruit in there is a great source of vitamins! You can use whichever milk you prefer and can use a different flavor of ice cream if you want to play around with taste combinations.
Ingredients
(Serves 2)
- 1.5 cups milk
- 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
- 1 banana
- 1 cup strawberries
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter
Instructions
- Chop the stalks off the strawberries and then cut each strawberry in half
- Put the strawberries into a blender
- Peel the banana then chop it into slices and add to the blender
- Add the milk and then switch the blender on, blitzing the mixture until it’s smooth
- Add the peanut butter and blend for another few minutes
- Add the ice cream and continue to blend intermittently for another 5 minutes
- Once the mixture is completely smooth, transfer it to 2 glasses
- You may wish to add some ice cubes and some reusable straws, and then enjoy!
