Pasta is universally loved. There’s just something about it that makes it so unbelievably delicious. However, have you ever wondered why it tastes so much better at a restaurant than when you cook it? Well, if you want to amp up your pasta game, there are some simple ways to do it that won’t cost you any money or time.

Salting Your Water

Generally, it is known that you should put salt in your water before you drop in your pasta, but why? And how much? The reason you salt your water is that you want to flavor your pasta while it cooks, and salt is the best way to do it. Most people only put in a bit of salt, but with how much water is in the pot you’ll never actually get any into the pasta. Your water should taste like ocean water so your pasta actually gets seasoned, but don’t worry, you’ll be pouring almost all of it down the drain.

Sauces

Something that restaurant chefs do is they take out the pasta a minute before it’s done and put it straight into a pan with sauce to finish cooking. Not only with the sauce adhere more to the pasta, but the pasta will absorb the flavor better.
